Heroes
This guide brings together all 7 SSR S-1 heroes, all 4 SSR S-2 heroes, and 12 starting SR heroes, so you can choose the best value for Solo, Rallies, defense, and development before committing hero shards and resources.
Quick upgrade choices
SSR S-1 core: If you have Tyron, upgrade him first, then Phoenix → Inata. If you do not have Tyron, start with Phoenix → Inata, then choose your next hero based on the role you play.
SSR S-2 core: For an attacking Rally lead, start with Mireya; for a Solo focus, prioritize Alph; and for defense, choose only one of Caesar or Lanchester based on your role. Do not build all four at once.
SR core: For offense, choose Lofili or Lunarl first. For defense, choose Platos or Gimes. SR heroes help an early-game account function well, but should not replace an offensive SSR core once you have the shards ready.
For F2P: Per Season, focus shards and resources on only 1–2 SSR heroes for your main role. In S-1, choose Tyron and Phoenix for offense when available, or make Phoenix your first choice if Tyron is unavailable. When S-2 begins, choose Mireya as the main Rally hero or Alph for Solo first, then consider a second hero based on your role. Do not spread resources across several SSR heroes at once.
- Open an attacking Rally
- SSR: Mireya, Tyron, LanchesterSR alternatives: Lofili, Lunarl while your SSR core is not ready
- Join a Rally
- SSR: Mireya, Lanchester, Alph, Tyron, PhoenixFollow the Rally lead's instruction; the stacking of Join Rally buffs should not be assumed from the hero list alone

-
Solo attack
- SSR S-2: Alph is the first choice thanks to his Solo bonus and Global DEF; Mireya is a strong damage-focused alternative
- SSR S-1: Phoenix for consistent Solo attacks, Tyron for heavier offense, and Inata for a balanced Shooter setup
- SR: Start with Lofili or Lunarl; Samir is an extra offensive-march option
- Open an attacking Rally
-
Join a Rally
- First priority: Follow the Rally lead's instruction
- SSR S-2: Mireya for extra Damage, Lanchester for Lethality or a disruption effect, and Alph for ATK and reduced enemy Lethality
- SSR S-1: Tyron, Phoenix, Inata, Devilian
- Caution: It is still unconfirmed how Join Rally hero buffs stack or affect the whole Rally. Treat the Rally lead's instruction, in-game skill text, and battle reports as the final word.
- SR: Lunarl, Lofili, Samir, Ekko
-
Receive Rallies and Garrison
- SSR S-2: Caesar is the main choice for receiving Rallies and Garrison; Lanchester is the more flexible alternative when you also need to attack
- SSR S-1: Tormund for main defense
- Strong SR options: Platos for damage reduction and faster healing, Gimes for durability
- Secondary choices: Gerd, Sumo Tyrant, Vesaryon
-
Development and monster hunting
- SSR: No SSR S-2 hero stands out for development or monster hunting; use Vivian for building upgrades, Devilian for troop training, Inata for research, and Mia (SSR) for Expedition
- SR: Flameborne for monster hunting and Turmoil Surge, Flora or Mia (SR) to speed up monster hunting, Ekko for resource gathering and march support
Upgrade order by account type
Accounts with an SSR S-1 core
Invest in Tormund when you actually have a defensive role. Unlock Vivian and Mia (SSR) only enough to enable their development and Expedition functions before committing combat resources.
When Season 2 begins
- Mireya if you focus on opening attacking Rallies
- Alph if Solo is your main activity, or Lanchester if you need flexibility between offense and defense
- Caesar only if you are responsible for receiving Rallies or managing a Garrison
For F2P, choose only 1–2 SSR heroes in Season 2: offensive players start with Mireya, then choose between Alph and Lanchester as the second hero; defensive players choose only one of Caesar or Lanchester. Do not immediately abandon the S-1 core you have already upgraded, and do not invest in all four at once.
Early-game accounts or accounts without enough SSR shards
- Lofili or Lunarl for offense
- Platos or Gimes for defense
- Samir or Ekko, based on your Join Rally role
- Flameborne, Flora, or Mia (SR) when monster hunting is your main activity
Once Tyron or Phoenix is ready, shift your primary resources back to the SSR core. The SR heroes you have upgraded remain useful for presets, secondary tasks, and specialized events.
Defensive players or Garrison keepers
- Caesar when he is available in S-2, or Lanchester if you also need your march to attack
- Tormund for the S-1 defensive core
- Phoenix or Tyron for the offensive march you still need
- Platos or Gimes
- Gerd, Sumo Tyrant, or Vesaryon, depending on who you have
Do not upgrade defensive heroes ahead of every offensive hero if your Alliance still primarily needs you to open or fill attacking Rallies.
SSR S-1 heroes
Tyron
Upgrade priority: #1 if you have the hero or shards
Tyron provides Global Lethality even without being deployed. His War Skill makes enemies take more damage, increases our troops' Lethality, and his Exclusive Weapon adds ATK during Rallies.
Best for: Offensive Solo, opening attacking Rallies, offensive Join Rallies
Phoenix
Upgrade priority: #1 without Tyron, #2 with Tyron
Phoenix grants Global ATK to all troops. Her War Skill boosts allied troop Damage and HP, while her Exclusive Weapon boosts HP during Solo attacks.
Best for: Solo, opening Rallies, Join Rallies, general offensive marches
Inata
Upgrade priority: #3 after the core, or higher when you play Shooters and focus heavily on research
Inata increases troop HP and ATK, along with research speed. Her Exclusive Weapon adds HP while defending, making her a strong bridge between offense, Join Rallies, and defense.
Best for: Balanced Solo, Join Rallies, defense, research
Devilian
Upgrade priority: #3–4, based on your need for troop training and Join Rallies
Devilian increases Lethality, DEF, and troop training speed. His Exclusive Weapon adds DEF during Rallies, making him valuable as a supporting march hero and account-development helper.
Best for: Join Rallies, balanced marches, troop training
Tormund
Upgrade priority: Invest when you are responsible for receiving Rallies or Garrison
Tormund has DEF, HP, and a chance to disrupt enemies while attacking. His Exclusive Weapon adds DEF while defending, so he stands out more on defense than as an attacking Rally lead.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, defending against Solo attacks
Vivian
Upgrade priority: Unlock city-development skills first; do not commit combat resources before the core
Vivian's strengths are building upgrade speed and reduced building resource costs. Her Exclusive Weapon adds Lethality during Rallies, giving her more combat value once the weapon is ready.
Best for: Building upgrades, city development, Rallies once her Exclusive Weapon is ready
Mia (SSR)
Upgrade priority: Upgrade only as much as you need for Expedition; not a combat-shard target
Mia (SSR) reduces Expedition Stamina costs for two marches even when she is not deployed, and increases Expedition speed for monster hunting. This skill set has no War value for PvP or Rallies.
Best for: Monster hunting, Expedition, saving Stamina
SSR S-2 heroes
Season 2 has four SSR heroes: Mireya, Alph, Lanchester, and Caesar. There are no SR S-2 heroes in this roster, so the SR heroes below remain labeled “starting SR heroes.” All four are Military heroes; none stands out directly for building upgrades, research, troop training, or monster hunting.
For Join Rallies, follow the Rally lead's instruction first: it is still unconfirmed how Join Rally hero buffs and Exclusive Weapons stack or affect the whole Rally, so check the in-game skill text and battle reports before choosing a march setup.
Mireya
Upgrade priority: #1 S-2 choice for players who lead attacking Rallies; F2P Rally-focused players should make her their only main target first
Mireya reduces enemy ATK while increasing our troops' ATK and Damage, with extra Damage when the enemy's starting Power is lower. Her Exclusive Weapon adds Lethality during attacking Rallies, making her especially strong as an offensive lead.
Best for: Opening attacking Rallies, offensive Join Rallies, Solo as a secondary role
Alph
Upgrade priority: #1 for a Solo focus, or #2 after Mireya when you want a versatile offensive march
Alph grants Global DEF to every march even when he is not deployed, reduces enemy Lethality, and increases our troops' ATK. His Exclusive Weapon adds ATK in Solo, making him especially valuable for players whose main activity is attacking alone.
Best for: Solo, flexible Rally leads, Join Rallies when directed by the Rally lead, account-wide army bonus
Lanchester
Upgrade priority: Choose as your second hero when you want one hero who can switch between offense and defense; F2P players do not need to upgrade him alongside Caesar
Based on the comparison of the opponent's starting Power, Lanchester increases our troops' HP or Lethality, has a chance to disrupt enemies, and reduces enemy Damage. His Exclusive Weapon adds DEF while defending, making him more flexible than a pure defensive hero.
Best for: Opening or joining Rallies as the situation demands, receiving Rallies, Garrison, Solo as a secondary role
Caesar
Upgrade priority: Invest when you are responsible for receiving Rallies or managing a Garrison; not the first target for players who lead attacking Rallies
Caesar has a chance to restore troops lost in that round, increases our troops' DEF, and reduces enemy HP. His Exclusive Weapon adds ATK while defending, so he fits a defensive march more directly than an offensive one.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, defending against Solo attacks
Starting SR heroes
The 12 SR heroes in the database do not carry a Season tag like SSR S-1 heroes, so this page calls them “starting SR heroes.” The groups to remember are Lofili and Lunarl for offense, Platos and Gimes for defense, and utility heroes for monsters, resource gathering, or recovery.
Lofili
Upgrade priority: A top SR for offensive players
Lofili increases our troops' ATK by 25% and, while attacking, has a 50% chance to increase their Damage by 50%. She is the SR whose role is clearest in Solo attacks or offensive support marches.
Best for: Offensive Solo, alternative Rally lead, offensive Join Rallies
Lunarl
Upgrade priority: A top SR for offensive players
Lunarl increases Damage dealt by our troops by 25% and Lethality by 25%. The offensive effect is direct and consistent, so she pairs well with Lofili for an early-game account.
Best for: Offensive Solo, alternative Rally lead, offensive Join Rallies
Platos
Upgrade priority: A top SR for defense or prolonged warfare
Platos reduces Damage received by our troops by 25% and increases healing speed by 50%. He is valuable both when taking attacks and after major battles.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, reducing healing time
Gimes
Upgrade priority: High when you are a primary defender
Gimes increases all troop HP by 25% and reduces Damage received by 20%. He is a straightforward defensive pick when you want your march to last.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, durable Solo
Samir
Upgrade priority: A secondary offensive pick after Lofili and Lunarl
Samir increases ATK by 14%, Lethality by 12%, and reduces enemy HP by 20%. He is a good fit for an offensive march that needs more SR options.
Best for: Offensive Solo, Join Rallies, balanced offensive marches
Ekko
Upgrade priority: High for accounts that alternate between march support and resource gathering
Ekko gives our troops 25% Lethality, and the community database lists a resource-gathering speed effect. The skill text conflicts within the database, so check the in-game tooltip before investing based on secondary-skill details.
Best for: Join Rallies, resource gathering, F2P utility
Gerd
Upgrade priority: High when you need to receive Rallies or manage a Garrison
Gerd gives our troops 25% DEF and is a defensive Shieldbearer. Details for another skill slot conflict between sections of the database, so do not assume further numbers without checking the tooltip.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, defensive marches
Sumo Tyrant
Upgrade priority: As needed for a defensive Shieldbearer
Sumo Tyrant increases DEF by 14%, HP by 12%, and reduces enemy Lethality by 20%. He is a budget defensive option while an SSR defender is not ready.
Best for: Receiving Rallies, Garrison, early-game defense
Vesaryon
Upgrade priority: A secondary defensive option, or for players who use Recruitment often
Vesaryon reduces enemy Damage by 20% and helps restore 15% Recruitment Point. He is a useful mix of defense and utility.
Best for: Receiving Solo attacks, Garrison, Recruitment
Flameborne
Upgrade priority: High when monster hunting or Turmoil Surge is your main focus
Flameborne increases Damage against Wild Monsters and enemies in Turmoil Surge by 30%, while reducing enemy DEF by 20%. Do not make him a PvP core solely because of the monster bonus.
Best for: Monster hunting, Turmoil Surge, Rallies tied to event targets
Flora
Upgrade priority: Utility for players who hunt monsters and want to reduce severe troop injuries
Flora increases monster-hunting speed by 100% and converts 10% of severely wounded troops in her march to lightly wounded troops after battle.
Best for: Monster hunting, Expedition, preserving troop strength
Mia (SR · Purple)
Upgrade priority: Utility only; do not confuse her with Mia (SSR)
Mia (SR) reduces Expedition Stamina by 20% and increases monster-hunting speed by 100%. She makes monster hunting cheaper and faster; she is not a PvP or Rally investment target.
Best for: Monster hunting, Expedition, saving Stamina
